L’unité mixte de recherche Systèmes d’élevage méditerranéens et tropicaux se positionne sur l’étude des systèmes d’élevage familiaux à base principalement de ruminants , qu’ils soient pastoraux ou agropastoraux, dans les milieux chauds et à fortes contraintes, dans un objectif global de transition agro-écologique des systèmes de production.
